In this guide
The cost of menopause care in Miami is rarely one number. The first visit may be only one part of the expense. Follow-up, memberships, laboratory testing, imaging, medication, pharmacy charges, facility fees, and insurance deductibles can change the total significantly.
The most useful comparison is not “Which clinic has the lowest first-visit price?” It is “What will I probably pay to get a clear plan, obtain any necessary tests, fill the prescription, and follow up?”
Prices and operational details reviewed August 11, 2026. External prices and insurance rules can change.
The six parts of menopause-care cost
When comparing care in Miami, separate the total into six categories:
- Initial evaluation: The first clinician review or visit.
- Follow-up: Adjustments, side-effect review, renewals, or additional questions.
- Membership: Monthly, quarterly, or annual charges required to stay in the practice.
- Testing and local services: Labs, mammograms, ultrasounds, DEXA scans, pelvic examinations, or physical therapy.
- Medication: Insurance copay, cash price, shipping, dispensing, or medication bundled by the care company.
- Time and access: Travel, parking, missed work, childcare, and appointment delay.
A model that looks inexpensive in one category may cost more in another. A subscription may include messaging but require medication purchases. An insurance visit may have a low copay but a high deductible for tests. A self-pay consultation may cost more up front but provide transparent pricing and faster access.
Common menopause-care payment models
Do not assume that “cash pay” means medication is included or that “insurance accepted” means every service or drug will be covered.
Current Flourish pricing
Flourish sells consultations rather than a membership:
- Individual Consult: $79 for 1 consult.
- Complete Care: $260 for 4 consults.
- There is no subscription or membership.
- There are no hidden membership fees.
- Consultation purchases are HSA/FSA eligible.
- Flourish does not currently accept insurance for consultations.
- Medication, pharmacy fees, delivery fees, laboratory testing, imaging, and other third-party services are not included.
Complete Care reduces the per-consult price to $65 when all four consults are used. Whether that option is the better value depends on how much follow-up you expect to need.
Flourish care happens asynchronously in the app. A licensed clinician reviews the consult and finalizes a care plan within 2 business days. If a medication is clinically appropriate, the prescription is sent to the patient’s preferred pharmacy.
See the current pricing page before purchasing because prices and included services may change after this article’s review date.
Does Flourish accept insurance?
Flourish does not currently bill insurance for consultations. Patients pay the published consultation price directly.
That is separate from pharmacy coverage. If Flourish sends a prescription to your preferred pharmacy, you may be able to use insurance for the medication if your plan covers it. Coverage, copays, deductibles, formulary rules, and prior authorization requirements vary.
Flourish does not complete prior authorizations. If an insurer requires one, the care plan may help you understand lower-cost or alternative options when available, but coverage is not guaranteed.
How The Collaborative’s membership model differs
The Collaborative is Flourish’s recommended Menopause Center of Excellence when care needs to be escalated, not a pay-per-consult service like Flourish. It operates nationally for women with general menopause needs as well as complex, longitudinal, or multidisciplinary concerns. Its annual membership model supports extended appointments and dedicated clinician time for midlife women.
The practice does not contract with insurance companies, although it may provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Medication and laboratory coverage are separate. Membership terms, availability, and pricing can change, so request the current total directly before enrolling.
What does insurance-based care actually cost?
For an in-network visit, your cost may include a copay or coinsurance. If you have not met your deductible, you may owe the negotiated rate. Tests can be billed by a laboratory, imaging center, hospital, or facility separately from the clinician.
Before scheduling, ask the practice for:
- The clinician’s billing name and National Provider Identifier if your insurer needs it.
- The expected visit type or billing code.
- Whether the clinician and facility are both in network.
- Whether labs are drawn in the office or sent to an outside laboratory.
- Whether there is a facility fee.
- Whether follow-up messaging or prescription changes require another billable visit.
Then call the insurer using the number on your card. Ask about the specific clinician, facility, service, and medication rather than asking only whether “menopause care” is covered.
Menopause care without insurance
You can receive menopause care without insurance, but transparent estimates matter.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services explains that people who do not have insurance or choose not to use it can usually request a written good faith estimate before scheduled care. In many situations, providers must supply one when care is scheduled at least three business days ahead or when the patient asks.
The estimate should identify expected charges from the provider or facility. It may not include every separate organization involved, so ask each clinician, laboratory, imaging center, and facility for its own estimate.
For uninsured or self-pay care, ask:
Self-pay checklist
Get the total in writing
- What is the first consultation price?
- What is the follow-up price?
- Is there a required deposit or cancellation fee?
- Are forms, records review, or messaging billed separately?
- Are labs or imaging included?
- Is medication included or purchased at a pharmacy?
- Can I receive a good faith estimate?
- Does the practice offer financial assistance or a sliding scale?
The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County also operates a Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program with free or low-cost screening for people who meet eligibility requirements, including eligible uninsured patients.
Laboratory costs
Not every menopause patient needs the same laboratory testing. Costs increase quickly when a practice orders broad panels without explaining what each result will change.
Before agreeing to tests, ask:
- What question does this test answer?
- Will the result change treatment?
- Is the laboratory in network?
- What is the cash price?
- Have I had the same test recently?
- Who will interpret the result and explain the next step?
Flourish does not order labs. When laboratory testing may be relevant, a care plan can suggest what to discuss with a local clinician. Existing results may be reviewed when appropriate.
Imaging and examination costs
Mammograms, pelvic ultrasounds, DEXA scans, biopsies, and other procedures are not part of an online menopause consultation. They may involve separate professional, technical, and facility charges.
Ask whether the service is preventive screening or diagnostic evaluation. Insurance often handles those categories differently. A routine screening mammogram and imaging ordered for a new breast symptom are not necessarily billed the same way.
If you need local resources, The Miami Guide to Perimenopause and Menopause includes starting points for breast imaging, low-cost screening, bone-density testing, and pelvic floor therapy.
Medication cost
The price of HRT or another menopause prescription depends on:
- The exact medication and strength.
- Patch, pill, gel, spray, ring, cream, insert, or other dosage form.
- Brand versus generic availability.
- Insurance formulary and deductible.
- Prior authorization requirements.
- Pharmacy stock and cash pricing.
- Whether the care company requires a partner pharmacy or direct shipment.
Ask the clinician whether there is an appropriate lower-cost formulation if the first option is unaffordable. Ask the pharmacy to compare insurance and cash prices. Do not substitute, split, or change a medication without confirming with the prescribing clinician or pharmacist.
Flourish does not sell medication. The pharmacy handles the medication cost, and patients choose where a clinically appropriate prescription is sent.
HSA and FSA questions
Flourish consultation purchases are HSA/FSA eligible. Eligibility does not guarantee that every administrator will process a particular transaction the same way, so keep your receipt and check your plan documentation if needed.
Medication and other qualified medical expenses may also be eligible depending on applicable rules and your account. Contact the account administrator or tax adviser for questions about your specific situation.
Membership fees can change the comparison
Some menopause services require recurring payments even during months when you do not need a consultation. Others include messaging, refills, medication, coaching, or testing in the membership.
Before joining, ask:
- Is membership required to receive care?
- Is the fee monthly or annual?
- Is there a minimum commitment?
- What happens to prescriptions if I cancel?
- Are clinician visits included or discounted?
- Is medication included, and can I decline bundled medication?
- Are refunds available for unused services?
Flourish does not use a membership model. You buy an individual consult or a four-consult pack.
