Flourish is an app-based perimenopause and menopause care designed for women who want expert and personalized guidance. You start a consult in the Flourish app whenever it works for you, share the information a clinician needs, and receive a physician-reviewed care plan and prescriptions within 2 business days.

If treatment is clinically appropriate, a prescription can be sent to the pharmacy you choose. If your situation needs an examination, testing, urgent evaluation, or more complex ongoing care, Flourish explains the next step instead of trying to keep every concern inside the app.

Flourish is currently accepting waitlist signups as it prepares to launch in California, Florida, and New York. You can join the waitlist for access updates.

Is Flourish a medical service?

Flourish provides clinical menopause care. It is not simply a symptom tracker, educational chatbot, or medication storefront.

The app helps collect your history, symptoms, goals, medication information, and safety details in a structured way. A licensed clinician then reviews that information. The clinician may recommend hormone therapy, a non-hormonal option, local vaginal treatment, practical next steps.

Flora, Flourish’s AI care concierge assistant, can support patients with navigation and questions between consults.

Step 1: Start a consult when you are ready

Traditional telehealth often replaces an office appointment with a video appointment. Flourish is different: the core consult is “asynchronous.” Meaning, you do not need to find a live appointment slot before you can begin.

When the service launches in your state, you will be able to open the Flourish app on iOS or Android and start a consult at any time. This can be useful if your workday is unpredictable, you care for children or family members, or you want time to think through your symptoms without rushing through a short call. Our patients love this process.

Asynchronous does not mean unattended. It means you submit information on your schedule and a clinician reviews it afterward.

Step 2: Tell Flourish what has been changing

Perimenopause and menopause can affect more than periods and hot flashes. A useful clinical review needs context. The app asks you to describe what you are experiencing, what you want help with, and what might affect treatment choices.

Your consult

Information you may be asked to provide

  • Symptoms, timing, severity, and impact on daily life.
  • Menstrual changes and your stage of menopause, when known.
  • Treatment goals and the questions you want answered.
  • Medical, surgical, reproductive, and family history.
  • Current medications, supplements, allergies, and previous hormone use.
  • Relevant safety information, including bleeding, cancer, blood-clot, stroke, liver, migraine, or cardiovascular history.
  • Recent test results or other records that may help explain your situation.

We take time to be specific. For example, “I wake up four times most nights with sweating and cannot fall back asleep” gives a clinician more useful context than “sleep is bad.” If you have several concerns, well help understand which one most affects your quality of life.

Step 3: A licensed clinician reviews your case

After you submit the consult, a licensed clinician reviews your responses and determines whether the available information is enough to make a recommendation. Flourish finalizes the care plan normally within 2 business days.

The review is individualized. Two patients with similar hot flashes may receive different recommendations because their health histories, bleeding patterns, previous treatment experiences, preferences, or safety considerations differ. This is what makes care from Flourish different. We know this type of care deeply!

The clinician may:

  • Recommend hormonal or non-hormonal treatment when clinically appropriate.
  • Explain why a particular option fits your symptoms and history.
  • Suggest a different approach when a requested medication is not appropriate or did not work.
  • Recommend local laboratory testing, imaging, examination, or specialist care.

Step 4: Receive a care plan you can understand and share

Your care plan appears in the app. It is meant to help you understand what was recommended, why it was chosen, which symptom or goal it addresses, and which safety considerations matter for you.

You can keep the plan and share it with your primary care clinician, gynecologist, therapist, pelvic-floor physical therapist, or another member of your care team. Flourish is focused menopause care; it does not replace the rest of your healthcare.

If the recommendation includes watching symptoms, trying a nonprescription strategy, discussing a test with a local clinician, or seeking an examination, those next steps should be clear too. A useful consult is not defined only by whether it ends in a prescription.

Step 5: Choose where an appropriate prescription goes

If medication is clinically appropriate, you choose the pharmacy that receives the prescription. Flourish does not ship or dispense medication.

Medication and pharmacy charges are separate from the Flourish consult price. Insurance often covers a medication even though Flourish does not bill insurance for the consultation, but coverage is never guaranteed.

We know that hormone shortages have become a challenging barrier to care. So Flourish has thought of this too! If your selected pharmacy has a stock or pricing problem, Flourish is designed to let you reroute the prescription without waiting for repeated portal messages. This gives you practical control and is an essential part of how we have worked hard to make sure access to medications is as easy as possible for our patients.

Flourish does not complete prior authorizations. If an insurer requires one, your clinician may help you understand lower-cost or clinically appropriate alternatives when available.

What can Flourish help with?

Flourish is built for focused perimenopause and menopause questions, including symptom assessment, treatment options, hormone therapy review, medication questions, and understandable next steps. Depending on your history and needs, a clinician may discuss:

  • Hot flashes, night sweats, and sleep disruption.
  • Cycle changes and common perimenopause symptoms.
  • Brain fog, mood changes, and quality-of-life concerns.
  • Vaginal dryness, painful sex, and genitourinary symptoms.
  • Hormone therapy and non-hormonal treatment options.
  • Medication adjustments or follow-up questions within Flourish’s scope.
  • Alternatives when a specific medication is not appropriate.

Flourish does not prescribe testosterone, pellets, custom-compounded hormones, thyroid medication, or controlled substances. It does not perform physical examinations or procedures, order laboratory testing (at this time), provide emergency care, or replace routine preventive care.

What happens when Flourish is not enough?

Good menopause care includes knowing when a focused virtual consult is the right tool and when it is not.

You may need local or in-person care for unexplained or heavy bleeding, a breast symptom, pelvic pain, an examination, imaging, a procedure, urgent symptoms, or another condition that requires hands-on evaluation. Call 911 or seek emergency care for chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of stroke, suicidal thoughts, or another medical emergency.

For nonemergency care outside Flourish’s scope, there are two important patient resources:

  • The free AAWHM Directory and AAWHM Directory app help patients find doctors trained to practice current gold standards of hormone and menopause care. You can filter by state and city and use the app’s patient guides. Confirm each clinician’s current services, licensure, insurance participation, and availability directly.
  • When care needs to be escalated beyond Flourish’s focused scope, Flourish recommends The Collaborative, our partner medical practice that is a nationally operating Menopause Center of Excellence. Its expert team sees women with general as well as complex, longitudinal, or multidisciplinary midlife needs through longer, dedicated appointments.

The Collaborative uses a membership model and does not contract with insurance companies. Its patient FAQ explains that a superbill may be available for possible out-of-network reimbursement and that medication and laboratory coverage are separate. Patients should confirm current availability, membership terms, pricing, and reimbursement directly.

How much does Flourish cost?

Flourish uses a pay-per-consult model:

  • Individual Consult: $79 for 1 consult.
  • Complete Care: $260 for 4 consults.

There is no subscription, no membership, and no hidden membership fee. Consult purchases are HSA/FSA eligible. Flourish does not currently accept or bill insurance for consultations.

Medication, pharmacy fees, delivery fees, laboratory testing, imaging, and care from outside clinicians are not included. Review the current Flourish pricing page before purchasing.

An individual consult may fit a focused question or a patient who wants to understand the service first. The four-consult pack gives you more opportunities to return as symptoms, treatment, or questions evolve. Hormone care often requires tweaking the regimen till we get it right which is why we recommend a pack for most women.

Do you need a video appointment or blood tests first?

You do not need a scheduled video appointment to start a Flourish consult. The clinician decides whether the information submitted is sufficient for the question. If a live conversation, physical examination, testing, imaging, or another evaluation is needed, Flourish can direct you to the appropriate next step.

Flourish does not order laboratory tests. Not every menopause question requires a hormone panel, and testing should be tied to a clinical question. Your care plan may suggest discussing specific testing with a local clinician when it could change the diagnosis or treatment decision.
