South Florida women are asking better questions about perimenopause, menopause, HRT, and long-term health. But the care landscape can be confusing: local OB-GYN offices, primary care, med spas, pellet clinics, hormone marketing, supplements, and telehealth services all use different language.

Flourish exists to make the first step clearer.

We provide private, physician-reviewed perimenopause and menopause care online for women across South Florida, including Miami, Boca Raton, Palm Beach, Doral, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Gables, Miami Shores, Biscayne Park, Aventura, and nearby communities.

Virtual care is the point, not a compromise

Many South Florida patients still assume meaningful menopause care requires an in-person appointment first. Flourish is built differently. You can begin with an app-based visit, share your symptoms and health history, and receive physician-reviewed next steps without driving across the region.

Flourish is not just an app for education or symptom tracking. When medication is clinically appropriate, your care can include a prescription and pharmacy routing support, so the virtual visit can lead to practical treatment next steps.

If in-person care, emergency care, or a procedure is needed, that should happen in the right setting. But for many menopause questions, the first step can happen virtually and still be thoughtful, private, and clinically grounded.

The South Florida menopause care gap

In South Florida, many women are still learning what perimenopause and menopause can look like. Symptoms may show up as hot flashes, night sweats, poor sleep, mood changes, anxiety, brain fog, vaginal dryness, libido changes, weight changes, or irregular cycles.

The hard part is not only recognizing the symptoms. It is knowing who can help.

Many patients do not know that menopause and HRT training varies widely. Some clinicians are current and comfortable with hormone therapy. Others may not offer detailed guidance. Some local businesses lead with pellets, compounded hormones, or anti-aging packages before explaining FDA-approved options and safety considerations.

Flourish gives South Florida women a more direct path to informed care.

What makes Flourish different

Flourish is built around physician review, clear care plans, and practical prescription access.

With Flourish:

  • You begin online when you are ready.
  • You do not need to schedule an in-person appointment to start.
  • A doctor reviews your health history, symptoms, goals, and safety factors.
  • You receive a care plan that explains the recommendation.
  • If medication is clinically appropriate, you choose the pharmacy.
  • You can use the pharmacy that fits your neighborhood, schedule, and insurance situation.
  • Bilingual support helps care feel accessible in the communities we serve.

You do not need to guess whether a clinic is truly menopause-focused or drive across South Florida just to start the conversation.

A more careful approach to hormone therapy

Hormone therapy can be helpful for many women, but it should not be treated as a one-size-fits-all product. Your history matters. Your symptoms matter. Your goals and safety factors matter.

Flourish focuses on clinically appropriate care and clear explanation. FDA-approved hormone therapies are evaluated for safety and effectiveness. Compounded hormone products, including many products marketed as “bioidentical,” are not FDA-approved.

If you have been offered pellets, compounded hormones, or a treatment plan that does not explain the reasoning, Flourish can help you understand the questions to ask before moving forward.

How to navigate menopause care in South Florida

The right starting point depends on the kind of care you need.

Start with Flourish for focused virtual menopause care

Flourish may fit when you want a focused review of perimenopause or menopause symptoms, an HRT discussion, a written care plan, or prescription next steps without first scheduling a live visit. Flourish does not replace examinations, procedures, emergency care, testosterone therapy, or broader specialty management.

Use AAWHM to find a trained local clinician

The free AAWHM Directory helps patients find doctors trained to practice current gold standards of hormone and menopause care. Select Florida, then search by city, condition, specialty, or clinician name. The free AAWHM Directory app also includes menopause education and patient guides.

Confirm each clinician’s license, training, scope, availability, language, and insurance participation directly. A directory listing is a useful training signal, not a guarantee that every clinician provides every service.

Escalate to The Collaborative when more is needed

When care needs to be escalated beyond Flourish’s focused scope, Flourish recommends The Collaborative, its Menopause Center of Excellence. The Collaborative operates nationally and serves women seeking general menopause care as well as patients with complex, longitudinal, or multidisciplinary needs.

Its patient-facing care model includes individualized hormone therapy, thyroid and metabolic care, sexual and genitourinary health, bone health, cancer-sensitive care, and complex multisystem presentations. Its national team includes menopause-focused experts and clinicians trained under Dr. Heather Hirsch.

The Collaborative uses a membership model that supports extended appointments and dedicated clinician time for midlife women. It does not contract with insurance companies. Its FAQ says it may provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement; medication and laboratory coverage are separate.

Local testing and in-person services

Virtual care cannot perform mammograms, DEXA scans, ultrasounds, biopsies, pelvic examinations, or physical therapy. Our local guides identify verified starting points and explain what to ask:

Services, hours, insurance networks, and referral requirements change. Confirm details with each organization before scheduling.

Who Flourish may be right for

Flourish may be a fit if you want:

  • Menopause care from clinicians with menopause-specific expertise.
  • A clear explanation of perimenopause, menopause, and treatment options.
  • HRT review when clinically appropriate.
  • Prescription access without being locked into medication shipping.
  • Pharmacy choice and practical prescription routing.
  • Bilingual care support in South Florida.

Flourish may not be the right fit if you need emergency care, an in-person exam or procedure, testosterone therapy, medication shipping, or prior authorizations completed for you.
